Doug Carter Returns to Hollander Consultants After Eight Years

Tualatin, OR – After an eight-year hiatus, Doug Carter has rejoined Hollander Consultants and is bringing back his wealth of consulting experience to benefit Hollander Consultants’ clients.

Fred King, CEO of Hollander Consultants, said, “We are thrilled that Doug has returned to Hollander Consultants. We know his clients are going to be equally thrilled due to his exceptional consulting abilities and the care he takes with his clients.”

Doug Carter originally worked for Hollander Consultants from 1989 until 1999 when he left to take over the southeastern Florida district operations for Veterinary Centers of America. Veterinary Centers of America is also known as VCA Antech, which operates over 365 animal hospitals in 37 states and provides diagnostic services to over 14,000 independent hospitals nationwide.

During the seven years Mr. Carter worked for VCA Antech, he won one award for the district with the highest growth and, for four years running, an award for the district with the most new clients.

“I came back to Hollander Consultants because I really missed the camaraderie of this group. It is just a pleasure to work with the staff and executives at Hollander,” said Mr. Carter, “and, as a native Oregonian, I just love this part of the country. I consider myself very fortunate to be back.”

Glass has years of experience in running various health care practices including optometric and chiropractic offices. She’s also experienced with managing small businesses through directing a landscape design company and owning her own music magazine in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Adi Klevit Elevated to Executive Position

Ms. Klevit has over 9 years of experience in consulting with two of those years spent at Hollander Consultants. A native of Ramat Gan, Israel, Ms. Klevit graduated from Tel Aviv University in Israel with a degree in industrial engineering and moved to Portland from Israel in 1996.

Shortly after arriving in the area but prior to joining Hollander Consultants, Ms. Klevit worked at three community colleges as a math instructor: Portland Community College, Mt. Hood Community College and Chemetka Community College.

Hollander Consultants Treasury Manager Flies to Louisiana to Help with Disaster Relief

Pat Tiller Volunteers to Assist Katrina Victims

Portland, OR: Hollander Consultants’ Treasury Manager, Pat Tiller flew to Louisiana today to help with Hurricane Katrina disaster relief. He will be in Louisiana for a minimum of two weeks.

A resident of Sandy, Oregon, Tiller has been a member of the Mt. Hood Ski Patrol for the past 27 years and is certified in Mass Casualty Incident training. As a certified Emergency Response Coordinator, Tiller is experienced in setting up shelters and medical areas for use in emergencies such as the devastation caused by Hurricane Katrina in Louisiana, Mississippi and Alabama.

"I’m going to Louisiana because my help and my expertise are needed. I want to make sure people are safe and I will be training people on-site to provide the best possible care for the evacuees and other victims of the hurricane. It would be a crime if I didn’t help in some way," said Tiller.

Fred King, CEO for Hollander Consultants, said, "Many of our clients were in the path of the hurricane and have had their lives irrevocably altered. We wholeheartedly support Pat Tiller’s trip to help people affected by the hurricane. He will be in regular contact with us so we can have an ongoing update as to the situation and what help is needed."

In Tiller’s capacity with the Mt. Hood Ski Patrol, he has apprenticed over 200 people in how to help others in emergency and life-threatening situations. He is a first aid advanced instructor and has been for over 10 years.

He is the first of three staff supported by Hollander Consultants to leave for Louisiana. Emily McCuen, secretary to the CEO and Erika Sullivan, Director of Human Resources for Hollander Consultants will be leaving in the next week to assist relief efforts.

This position is the Executive Establishment Officer, a novel post for most consulting organizations.

In order to fill this position, Dave Worthen, who arrived at Hollander Consultants last year as Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer, has been promoted to Executive Establishment Officer. For the previous four years, Worthen had operated as CEO of Get Loud Marketing, Inc. based in Boulder, Colorado. Prior to that, he held the position of Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Mueller International. Mueller International is a full-service marketing organization for high tech business-to-business Fortune 1000 companies and has had clients such as 3M, AT&T, Dun & Bradstreet, General Motors, Hewlett-Packard, McDonnell Douglas and IBM.

TUALATIN, OR: Mayor Lou Ogden of Tualatin helped cut the ribbon to launch a new era for Cascadia Eye Care, owned by Dr. Dan Robison at Meridian Square Shopping Center.

Dr. Robison and his wife Lynn recently finished a complete redesign of their practice after nearly 12 years operating in Tualatin.

"We were so happy with the final redesign of the practice we wanted to let everyone see how beautiful it is," said Mrs. Robison. "We are quite happy to conduct our business in Tualatin, everyone at the Chamber of Commerce is very supportive and we really appreciate the Mayor taking the time to help us celebrate."

"The changes to the practice are quite extensive. Our reception area is more open and friendly for receiving patients, the eyeglass dispensary has a new focus, and we’ve added a diagnostic and testing room that improves our ability to diagnose and treat glaucoma and other diseases, " said Dr. Robison.

Richard Safft Named as Director of Service Consultants
